Provide high quality tailoring and fitting services to customers by measuring, fitting, and altering garments to meet Nordstrom standards while delivering professional customer service and maintaining productivity goals.
Responsibilities
- Measure customers for size and fit garments on customers
- Mark areas requiring alterations and perform sewing alterations
- Complete customer fittings on time following company guidelines and service standards
- Meet department and individual productivity goals while following proper processes
- Utilize store technology to manage and organize customer alteration needs
- Collaborate with the Alterations and Store Team to deliver customer expectations
- Educate customers and employees on proper fit style construction and trends
Requirements
- Previous fitting tailoring and sewing experience preferred minimum of 2 years
- Clear professional communication with coworkers and customers
- Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment
- Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs
