Job Description

Summary

The Tailor/Fitter performs professional fittings and sewing alterations to deliver excellent customer service and meet department productivity expectations. This role measures and fits customers, completes alterations according to guidelines, and educates customers and colleagues on fit and construction in a fast paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Measure customers for size and fit garments on customers
  • Mark areas requiring alterations and perform sewing alterations
  • Complete customer fittings and alterations on time according to company standards
  • Meet department and individual productivity goals
  • Utilize store technology to manage customer alteration needs
  • Collaborate with the Alterations and Store Team to deliver customer expectations
  • Educate customers and employees on proper fit style and construction

Requirements

  • Previous fitting tailoring and sewing experience preferred minimum of 2 years
  • Clear professional communication with coworkers and customers
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing pressing machinery and alterations equipment
  • Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs
