Tailor / Fitter - Downtown Store

Summary

Provide alterations and fittings for customers at the downtown store, performing resizing and restyling of merchandise to meet customer expectations. Work on-site reporting to the Alterations Manager and use sewing machine and hand-sewing techniques to complete orders with attention to detail and timely communication about fees and lead times.

Responsibilities

• Measure and fit garments to achieve customer expectations
• Perform alterations and customizations on various garments
• Utilize sewing machine operations and hand-sewing methods
• Manage and measure work to ensure quality results
• Provide customers with service fee details and completion lead times
• Support resizing and restyling of merchandise from store inventory
• Follow process management procedures for alterations workflow

Requirements

• Prior functional and technical alterations or tailoring experience
• Experience operating sewing machines
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage workflow and measure work accurately
• Customer service orientation and clear communication skills
• Ability to work on-site and report to store management
