Summary

Alterations associate responsible for measuring, fitting, and performing alterations and customizations on merchandise to meet customer expectations. Works on-site reporting to the Alterations Manager and supports resizing and restyling across store inventory. Uses sewing machine and hand-sewing methods and communicates service fees and lead times to customers.

Responsibilities

• Measure and fit garments to achieve customer expectations
• Perform alterations and customizations on a variety of garments
• Operate sewing machines and perform hand-sewing techniques
• Provide accurate estimates for service fees and completion lead times
• Manage and measure work to ensure quality and consistency
• Maintain attention to detail on all alteration tasks
• Support in reselling and restyling store merchandise as needed

Requirements

• Prior functional and technical alterations experience
• Experience operating sewing machines
• Strong process management skills
• Ability to manage and measure alteration work accurately
• High attention to detail
• Customer service orientation for interacting with clients
