Summary

As an Alterations associate you will perform on-site tailoring and fitting services to meet customer expectations for garment fit and finish. You will operate sewing machines and employ hand-sewing techniques to resize and restyle merchandise while reporting to the Alterations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Measure and fit garments to achieve customer expectations
• Perform alterations and customizations to clothing
• Operate sewing machines and perform hand-sewing methods
• Provide accurate service fee details to customers
• Communicate lead times for completion of work
• Manage and measure alteration work to ensure quality
• Maintain attention to detail in all alterations

Requirements

• Prior functional and technical tailoring skills
• Experience operating sewing machines
• Knowledge of alteration and customization techniques
• Process management skills related to alterations
• Ability to measure garments accurately
• Strong attention to detail
