Provide high quality tailoring and fitting services to customers, performing measurements, fittings, and sewing alterations while maintaining productivity and delivering excellent customer service in a retail alterations shop.
Responsibilities
- Measure customers for size and fit garments
- Fit garments on customers and mark areas requiring alterations
- Perform and complete customer fittings and sewing alterations on time
- Operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment safely
- Meet department and individual productivity goals following proper processes
- Utilize store technology to manage and organize customer alteration needs
- Deliver customer expectations through teamwork and collaboration with the store team
- Educate customers and employees on proper fit style construction and trends
Requirements
- Previous fitting tailoring and sewing experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of tailoring or sewing experience
- Clear professional communication with coworkers and customers
- Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to learn and operate sewing and pressing machinery
- Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs
