The Tailor provides high-quality alterations and fittings to customers in a fast-paced retail alterations shop. This seasonal role at Mall Of America focuses on measuring, fitting, and altering garments to ensure proper fit and finish. The Tailor collaborates with the alterations and store team to meet customer expectations and productivity targets.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and fit, and mark garments for alterations
• Perform and complete customer fittings and sewing alterations on time according to guidelines and service standards
• Meet department and individual productivity goals while following proper processes
• Use store technology to manage and organize customer alteration needs
• Work collaboratively with the Alterations and Store Team and educate customers and employees on fit and construction

Requirements

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; preferred minimum of 2-3 years
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing, pressing, and standard alterations equipment
• Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs
