Summary

The Tailor/Fitter provides expert alterations and fittings to deliver high quality service and garment fit. The role measures and fits customers, completes alterations using standard machinery, and supports department productivity and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and fit and mark garments for alterations
• Perform and complete customer fittings and sewing alterations on time
• Operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment safely
• Meet department and individual productivity goals following store processes
• Use store technology to manage and organize customer alteration needs
• Collaborate with the Alterations and Store Team to deliver customer expectations
• Educate customers and employees on fit, style, construction, and trends

Requirements

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience, preferred minimum of 2-3 years
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule based on business needs
