The Tailor/Fitter provides high-quality alterations and fittings to deliver excellent customer service, ensuring garments fit properly and meet company standards. The role involves measuring customers, performing alterations and fittings, and educating customers and colleagues on fit and construction while maintaining productivity and organization.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and mark areas requiring alterations
• Fit garments on customers and perform sewing alterations
• Complete customer fittings and alterations on time according to guidelines and service standards
• Meet department and individual productivity goals
• Utilize store technology to manage and organize alteration requests
• Collaborate with the Alterations and Store Team to deliver customer expectations
• Educate customers and employees on proper fit, style, construction, and trends
• Operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment safely

Requirements

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience, preferred minimum of 2-3 years
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery
• Flexible availability to work a schedule based on business needs
• Ability to meet productivity and quality standards
