The Tailor provides expert fitting and alteration services to customers, ensuring quality garment adjustments and excellent customer service while meeting productivity expectations and following store guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and fit garments
• Mark and perform required garment alterations
• Complete customer fittings and sewing alterations on time
• Follow Nordstrom guidelines and service standards
• Meet department and individual productivity goals
• Utilize store technology to manage customer alteration needs
• Collaborate with the alterations and store team to deliver customer expectations
• Educate customers and employees on fit style construction and trends

Requirements

• Previous fitting tailoring and sewing experience preferred minimum of 2 years
• Clear professional communication with coworkers and customers
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment
• Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs
