Summary
Lead the Americas tax function based in Wayne NJ, overseeing a team of 10 and managing tax compliance and advisory across the US, Canada and providing guidance for Mexico and Brazil. Drive process improvements, digitalization projects and ensure tax accounting integrity while partnering with finance, houses and executive teams. Provide strategic tax input on corporate transactions, transfer pricing and international tax matters.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal compliance for direct and indirect taxes in the US and Canada
- Oversee external consultants for compliance in Canada Mexico and Brazil
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and GAAP tax accounting standards and maintain internal controls
- Lead internal and external federal and state tax audits
- Identify and implement tax process improvements and participate in financial transformation
- Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure stakeholder satisfaction
- Oversee transfer pricing documentation APA MAP and customs duties consequences
- Assess tax impacts of complex corporate transactions and new business ventures
- Monitor tax legislation and interpret tax and customs laws for the business
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in international tax compliance in a multinational organization
- Deep understanding and experience in US and Canada tax
- Knowledge of Mexico and Brazil tax laws preferred
- Strong knowledge of transfer pricing and related processes
- In-depth knowledge of GILTI BEAT and Minimum Tax
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent analytical communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor in accounting or related field; CPA Masters or Law degree preferred
