Technical Designer, Lauren Outerwear

Summary

The Technical Designer creates and maintains PLM tech packs that guide suppliers and factories in developing samples and production-ready garments. The role partners with Design, Product Management, Pattern Making, global technical design teams, and suppliers to ensure products meet design intent, fit, construction, quality, and calendar requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and review accurate tech packs in PLM, including measurements, construction details, fit requirements, sketches, imagery, and product data.
• Coordinate hand-offs, meetings, recaps, and next steps with cross-functional partners.
• Support fit sessions, sample reviews, and product evaluations to ensure alignment with design intent and quality standards.
• Manage workload, product status, and calendar milestones, and contribute to departmental tools, processes, and special projects.

Requirements

• Degree or certification in apparel manufacturing, design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and apparel manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and working knowledge of Gerber, PLM, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; knowledge of Browzwear or other 3D applications is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
