Job Description

Summary

As a Technician 1 at Nordstrom's Distribution Center in Newark, CA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Technical Support Services team. You will assist users with computer systems, hardware, and software inquiries, ensuring excellent service to Nordstrom employees. This onsite position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a passion for customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quick and effective assistance to users, guiding them through troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Utilize work management systems data to prioritize tasks and communicate issues to leadership.
  • Ensure customer and protected data security, implementing appropriate security controls.
  • Analyze problems, create effective resolution plans, and perform maintenance activities.
  • Consistently deliver within target SLA's and demonstrate understanding of Project Management best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in a service management industry and tech support.
  • Experience troubleshooting, testing, or repairing technical equipment.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Dell Desktop/Laptop, Zebra mobile scanners, and printers.
  • High motivation, self-direction, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-changing environment.
  • Physical ability to walk, bend, reach, stand, and lift 50lb boxes.
