Job Description

Summary

This temporary-to-permanent Customs Coordinator supports compliance with U.S. import and export regulations by organizing and analyzing customs reporting, maintaining broker and internal files, and coordinating required documentation. Based onsite at the Dayton, NJ Distribution & Service Center, the role ensures timely, accurate entries and cross-trains across divisions to support shipment flow and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Download and analyze ACE reporting for discrepancies and required updates
  • Manage and refresh internal and shared files to provide brokers with current information
  • Monitor internal HOP files for compliance and request documentation from origin offices (e.g., TSCA, Lacey Act)
  • Enter and audit file documentation in accordance with U.S. Customs requirements
  • Provide timely status updates on critical files and reporting
  • Participate in compliance training and support cross-divisional tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Customs compliance, brokerage, entry writing, or related data analysis
  • Knowledge of TSCA, Lacey Act, incoterms, and U.S. import/export documentation
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables) and strong data analysis capability
  • Certifications in customs, supply chain, or dangerous goods preferred
  • Clear written and verbal communication and ability to work independently and in teams
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible hours including potential overtime and holiday periods
