Summary
Temporary operations associate responsible for maintaining store inventory and stock areas to company standards, minimizing stock loss, processing inbound freight and returns, assisting with merchandising and housekeeping, and safeguarding company assets through proper inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Process shipping and receiving functions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain orderly stock and receiving areas and general store maintenance
- Process inbound freight, returns to vendors, chargebacks, transfers and damages per policy
- Support compliance with receiving practices and record keeping procedures
- Ensure stock is security tagged to prevent loss
- Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts
- Assist with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and price changes
- Pack or wrap customers merchandise when necessary and perform other assigned tasks
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations and proper handling of merchandise
- Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow through skills
- Ability to read count and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems
- Ability to operate necessary equipment including inventory control systems and sensor tag removers
- Ability to work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move heavy boxes and fixtures
