Summary
Temporary Operations Associate responsible for maintaining store inventory and stock areas, processing shipping and receiving accurately, minimizing stock loss, and ensuring compliance with inventory control procedures and housekeeping standards.
Responsibilities
- Process all shipping and receiving functions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain orderly stock and receiving areas and general store maintenance
- Process inbound freight, returns to vendors, chargebacks, transfers, and damages per policy
- Support compliance of receiving practices with company policies and standards
- Ensure merchandise is ticketed, sensored, and security tagged to prevent loss
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts
- Assist with floor moves, merchandising, displays, and housekeeping
- Assist with price changes and packing or wrapping customer purchases
- Participate in store meetings and training as required
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations and properly handle merchandise
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow through skills
- Ability to read, count, write, and process information through computer systems
- Ability to operate equipment including inventory systems and sensor tag remover
- Ability to work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy boxes and fixtures
- Ability to adjust priorities in a fast paced environment
