Summary
Temporary Operations Associate responsible for maintaining inventory and stock areas to company standards, minimizing stock loss, processing shipping and receiving functions, and supporting store housekeeping and merchandising activities under the Boutique Manager or Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Process all inbound freight returns transfers and damages accurately and efficiently
- Maintain orderly stock receiving and backroom areas and ensure merchandise is ticketed and sensored
- Support receiving practices including safekeeping of company funds property and record keeping
- Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control departments
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts
- Assist with floor moves merchandising display maintenance and price changes
- Pack or wrap customer merchandise when necessary and assist managers with assigned tasks
- Operate equipment required for receiving and inventory control
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations and properly handle merchandise
- Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow through skills
- Ability to read count and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems
- Ability to adjust priorities in a fast paced environment and work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move and handle boxes and fixtures including heavy lifting
