Summary
The Temporary Operations Associate is responsible for maintaining store inventory and stock areas to company standards, minimizing stock loss, processing shipping and receiving accurately, maintaining records, ordering supplies, and safeguarding company assets through proper inventory control procedures.
Responsibilities
- Process all shipping and receiving functions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain orderly stock and receiving areas and general store maintenance
- Process inbound freight returns transfers chargebacks and damages per policy
- Support compliance with receiving practices safekeeping and record keeping procedures
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts
- Assist with floor moves merchandising display maintenance and housekeeping
- Assist with price changes packing or wrapping customer merchandise as needed
- Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations and properly handle merchandise
- Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow through skills
- Ability to read count and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to process information through inventory control computer systems
- Ability to operate necessary equipment including sensor tag remover and phone systems
- Ability to work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy boxes and fixtures
