Summary
The Temporary Operations Associate maintains store inventory and stock areas to company standards, minimizing loss and ensuring accurate processing of shipping receiving and inventory tasks. The role supports housekeeping, merchandising assistance, and adherence to inventory control procedures while communicating with central distribution and corporate inventory teams.
Responsibilities
- Process shipping receiving functions accurately including inbound freight returns transfers and damages
- Maintain orderly neat stock receiving and general store areas ensuring merchandise is ticketed and sensored
- Support receiving practices compliance with company policies and record keeping procedures
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts and support loss prevention tagging
- Assist with floor moves merchandising display maintenance and price changes
- Pack or wrap customer merchandise when necessary and assist managers as assigned
- Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control as needed
- Operate inventory control systems sensor tag removers and related equipment
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations including proper merchandise handling and heavy lifting
- Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow through skills
- Ability to read count and write to complete documentation and process information through computer systems
- Ability to adjust priorities in a fast paced environment and work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move boxes and fixtures
- Familiarity with phone systems inventory control computer systems and sensor tag equipment
