Tool Crib Intern

Summary

Internship assisting with daily operations of the tool crib at the Cumberland facility, gaining hands-on experience in inventory management, tool distribution, and data entry. The role supports implementation of a consumable distribution system and works with engineering and production teams to improve tracking and efficiency. This is a temporary paid internship focused on practical skills in supply chain and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records for tools and equipment
• Issue and collect tools, documenting items loaned and returned
• Verify condition of returned tools and report damage or loss
• Keep the tool crib organized and assist with tool maintenance
• Provide friendly service to employees requesting tools and equipment
• Perform data entry to track orders and inventory status
• Support placement and tracking of incoming orders and invoicing tasks
• Help implement a new consumable distribution system for the production floor

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or related program
• Interest or coursework in inventory management or supply chain
• Basic data entry and reporting skills
• Ability to maintain organized work areas and attention to detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to collaborate with engineering and production teams
• Available to work on-site at the Cumberland facility
