Job Description

Summary

Provide administrative and operational support to transportation managers in a distribution center, handling data capture, reporting, communication with internal and external customers, and tracking equipment and supplies. Monitor transportation KPIs and coordinate with carriers and vendors to resolve discrepancies and delays. Support Labor Management reporting and assist with projects to maintain efficient workflow and strong results.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and report departmental data to reflect performance
  • Communicate with internal and external customers via email and phone
  • Support managers and assistant managers with administrative tasks and projects
  • Identify problems, research causes, and expedite solutions
  • Maintain and update Labor Management program reports
  • Assist with tracking and distribution of equipment and supplies
  • Monitor transportation KPIs and escalate trends to leadership
  • Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and logistics partners to resolve issues
  • Use Transportation Management Systems or Warehouse Management Systems as needed

Requirements

  • Transportation experience recommended
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel
  • Experience with freight pay and bill pay
  • 6+ months distribution or fulfillment center experience
  • Basic understanding of distribution center operations and workflow
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate PC skills and ability to learn new tools rapidly
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Customer service orientation and ability to work as a team player
