Responsibilities
- Upholster frames for heritage and antique-inspired furniture using traditional and modern techniques
- Select, cut, and prepare fabrics, leathers, and padding materials to meet design standards
- Execute decorative details such as tufting, pleating, piping, and nailhead trim with precision
- Collaborate with designers, artisans, and woodworkers to align upholstery with frame construction
- Inspect completed pieces to ensure quality, durability, and aesthetic excellence
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean organized workspace
- Follow workshop safety practices and company quality guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of upholstery experience, ideally in high-end or antique-style furniture manufacturing
- Mastery of hand and machine upholstery techniques
- Deep knowledge of fabrics, leathers, padding materials, and traditional methods
- Proven craftsmanship in detailed decorative work such as tufting and hand-tied applications
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to consistent elevated work
- Ability to read and interpret design specifications, templates, and patterns
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in a dynamic workshop environment
