Summary
VIE Analyst Engineer based in New York to help deploy and build the foundations of a next-generation cloud Data Platform for the US. The role focuses on engineering data pipelines, modelling datamarts and ensuring quality and traceability during a platform migration. You will work closely with a VIE Data Analyst and cross-functional Data & AI Platform teams to implement standards and reliable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Act as the local relay for architecture patterns, methodologies and standards and ensure their adoption across developments.
- Design and develop data ingestion pipelines from local US sources to Snowflake using dbt and SQL.
- Ensure data quality, reliability and traceability through tests, documentation and GitLab CI/CD versioning.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Data Platform schema and align implementations with the core retail model.
- Model business datamarts according to target data models and document models for the data catalogue (descriptions, lineage, tests).
- Map existing local data sources to new models and identify/resolve definition or grain mismatches between source and target systems.
Requirements
- Master's degree (Bac+5) in computer science, data engineering, applied mathematics or equivalent.
- First significant experience (long internship, apprenticeship or first assignment) in data engineering or analytics engineering.
- Advanced SQL and relational modelling knowledge (star/snowflake schemas); dbt (models, tests, docs, macros).
- Experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Redshift) and GitLab CI/CD practices.
- Professional English (written and spoken) required; French is an asset.
- Eligible for the V.I.E programme (EU nationality, age and administrative conditions as specified by V.I.E requirements).
