VIE - Intellectual Property Legal Counsel For Americas

Summary

Based in New York, you will join Hermès' Anti-Counterfeiting team and lead intellectual property protection across the Americas. You will drive strategy from customs filings to enforcement authority training, manage pre-litigation and litigation matters alongside local counsel, and support local teams on IP projects. The role requires autonomous case management, stakeholder engagement with authorities, and active monitoring of online marketplaces and social media.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Anti-Counterfeiting strategy across the Americas, including customs applications and enforcement authority training
• Build and strengthen collaboration with local authorities such as customs, police and IP attachés
• Monitor online marketplaces and social media to detect and address counterfeiting activity
• Manage pre-litigation and litigation files in civil and criminal matters with investigators and local law firms
• Support local teams on projects involving the Group's intellectual property rights
• Prepare activity reports and track legislative and regulatory developments across the region

Requirements

• Expertise in Intellectual Property law
• Fluency in French and English with strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage files autonomously with precision, rigor and a proactive mindset
• Experience in an international environment and working with external counsel and enforcement authorities
