Summary
The VP of Product Curation for Bed & Bath leads seasonal concept development and product design from initial ideas through production approval. This role manages and mentors a design and product development team while partnering across the organization to deliver cohesive, high-quality products aligned with business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop seasonal concept presentations and identify assortment opportunities across hard goods and soft goods.
- Manage and mentor designers and product developers, oversee design specifications and sample comments, and maintain organized, efficient systems.
- Review product samples and finishes to uphold and elevate quality and design standards.
- Partner with Merchandising, Sourcing, Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Planning to align design plans with business strategy, manage deadlines and risks, and resolve issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and photography, retouching, and sourcebook teams, and manage annual sample and shipment budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of the customer and brand aesthetic, with proven design experience tied to business plans and results.
- Expertise in sketching and Adobe Creative Suite; Graphite, Rhino, or SolidWorks experience is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of designing and manufacturing hard-goods categories such as furniture, lighting, décor, and accessories; soft-goods experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, project management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
