Summary
The VP Product Curation leads the development and curation of seasonal product concepts across hard and soft goods, driving cohesive assortments that align with brand strategy. Based in Corte Madera, CA, this role manages a small design and product development team and oversees the development process from concept through production. The leader partners cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, QA, and Planning to ensure quality, timing, and business alignment.
Responsibilities
- Create aspirational seasonal concept presentations and "Big Ideas" for cross-organization review.
- Design into seasonal concepts and identify assortment opportunities across furniture, lighting, décor, accessories, and soft goods.
- Manage, mentor, and energize a team of designers and product developers, keeping files and systems organized.
- Own the development process from initial concept through production approval; produce clear designs, specifications, and sample feedback.
- Review product samples and finishes with PD teams to maintain and elevate design and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Sourcing, Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Planning to align design and business plans and resolve issues.
- Maintain vendor and internal communications for retouching, photography, sourcebook, and web imagery; manage sample and shipment budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant work experience.
- Deep understanding of the RH customer and brand aesthetic; proven ability to design into business plans that drive results.
- Strong sketching skills and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite; Graphite, Rhino, or SolidWorks a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of designing and manufacturing hard-goods product categories (furniture, lighting, décor); soft goods experience a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills effective across cultures and languages.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines while leading a small team; entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented, and effective in fast-paced environments.
