Job Description

Summary

As a Vertical Buyer for Women's Apparel at Nordstrom Product Group, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic vision for our brand. This hybrid position requires you to work closely with the Merchandising Director to develop and buy trend-right products that resonate with our customers. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to final assortment, ensuring alignment with our brand's strategic goals.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage marketplace insights and sales data to create seasonal line plans that meet financial targets.
  • Partner with Assortment Planners to allocate products across store clusters and online channels.
  • Research and quantify new product opportunities and incorporate them into seasonal strategies.
  • Analyze in-season business and execute optimizations for short-term and long-term opportunities.
  • Facilitate key internal meetings to build seasonal assortments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive accountability across teams to meet financial targets and provide meaningful insights.
  • Coach and develop associate and assistant product merchandisers.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, or DTC assortment strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in the retail/fashion industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically (limited).
