Summary
The Vice President of Communications leads the integrated communications strategy for Cartier North America, translating global brand priorities into client-focused plans. This senior leader brings media, direct-to-consumer communications, public relations, and talent partnerships together to strengthen brand desirability, client engagement, and business impact. The role works closely with executive leaders, global teams, and agency partners.
Responsibilities
- Define short- and long-term communications strategy and align it with brand positioning, business priorities, and client strategy.
- Lead media and direct-to-consumer communications, full-funnel storytelling, and communications investment decisions.
- Guide press strategy, brand storytelling, and relationships with media, editors, stylists, and industry voices.
- Lead celebrity, talent, entertainment, and cultural engagement strategies and partnerships.
- Build, develop, and empower a high-performing communications organization and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks, use insights to make recommendations, and optimize campaigns and investments.
- Assess and manage agency partnerships, capabilities, expectations, and performance.
Requirements
- 15 or more years of progressive experience in communications strategy, media, public relations, integrated marketing, celebrity or talent relations, or a related field, including significant senior leadership experience.
- Deep understanding of the luxury environment, client journey, and historic brand management.
- Proven ability to set enterprise, regional, or market-level strategy and translate global priorities into locally relevant execution.
- Executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Strong people leadership skills and experience building and developing high-performing teams.
- Strategic, culturally fluent, commercially aware, and able to navigate ambiguity while delivering measurable outcomes.
- Ability to manage communications budgets with a focus on return on investment.
