Job Description

Summary

The Vice President Logistics leads end-to-end logistics strategy and execution for multiple luxury fashion Maisons across the Americas, overseeing warehousing, transportation, customs compliance, and sustainability within a shared services model. This role drives operational excellence, cost optimization, SAP integrations, and strategic vendor relationships while building and coaching a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute logistics strategy aligned with financial and operational objectives.
  • Oversee third party warehouses, brokers, and freight forwarders managing contracts and service levels.
  • Lead transportation and distribution strategy across North America and international markets.
  • Manage customs compliance import export and duty optimization efforts.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives including carbon reduction and packaging innovation.
  • Lead logistics budget construction and track KPIs such as cost per unit and warehouse productivity.
  • Negotiate contracts with 3PLs and freight providers to optimize cost structures.
  • Oversee readiness for system implementations and lead RFPs for warehousing and freight.
  • Coach and develop managers and analysts building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive logistics leadership experience ideally in luxury fashion.
  • Proven expertise in 3PL management warehouse contracts and international logistics.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success delivering cost savings while maintaining service levels.
  • Experience with SAP system integration and logistics transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations trade compliance and duty optimization.
  • Track record of building and leading high performing teams in a shared services environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to advise senior leadership.
