Summary
The Visual Production Manager will interpret and execute design from HQ and lead production for visual merchandising assets, partnering with US teams and headquarters to ensure Valentino standards. This full-time permanent role is based in the New York office with a hybrid schedule of three days in office and two days remote.
Responsibilities
- Lead full production lifecycle for VM assets including window displays, pop-ups, props, graphics, and campaigns
- Source and manage vendors, fabrication partners, and print providers
- Oversee quality control by reviewing prototypes and approving final production samples
- Manage budgets and timelines to deliver VM materials on schedule and within cost parameters
- Prepare production documents, schedules, and stakeholder communications
- Plan and execute logistics including packaging, shipping, and warehousing
- Maintain inventory of props, fixtures, and graphics and manage replenishment
- Troubleshoot shipping issues, delays, and damages and implement corrective actions
- Provide on-site or remote support during key campaigns and store openings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Industrial Design preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role; 3-5 years preferred in luxury retail
- Prior production planning experience with 3D fabrication projects and temporary installations
- Knowledge of display fixture production, manufacturing, and installation
- Proven ability to manage project costs and quality of installations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to be available on site for overnight installations and travel as needed
- Experience with technical drawings, 3D renderings, and project management
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp, Vectorworks, Rhino, and Microsoft Office
