Summary
The Vice President of Logistics leads end-to-end logistics strategy and execution for multiple fashion houses across the Americas, overseeing warehousing, transportation, customs compliance, and sustainability within a shared services model. This role drives operational excellence, cost optimization, system integration, and builds a high-performing logistics organization aligned with global priorities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute logistics strategy including warehouse network planning and contract negotiations.
- Lead strategic projects such as rate card negotiations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee third party operated warehouses, brokers, and freight forwarders, managing contracts and service levels.
- Ensure reliable transportation and distribution across North America and international markets.
- Lead customs compliance and regulatory strategy for import export management and duty optimization.
- Drive sustainability initiatives including carbon reduction and packaging innovation.
- Build and coach a team of logistics managers and analysts, fostering accountability and development.
- Manage logistics budget and financial performance, tracking KPIs like cost per unit and warehouse productivity.
- Lead RFPs and logistics transformation projects including system implementations.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive logistics leadership experience, ideally in luxury fashion.
- Proven expertise in 3PL management and warehouse contract negotiations.
- Experience with international logistics, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated cost savings delivery while maintaining service levels.
- Track record of building and leading high performing teams in a shared services environment.
- Experience leading system integrations and logistics transformation projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
