Job Description

Summary

Join CHANEL's After Sales team at the Piscataway, NJ facility as a Watch Repair Artisan responsible for inspection, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and overhaul of client-owned and CHANEL-owned watches. You will perform testing and quality control, manage spare parts inventory and claim system data, and collaborate with coordinators and management to ensure timely, high-quality repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical inspection, testing, and diagnosis of CHANEL watches
  • Execute battery service, maintenance, and total revision for mechanical and quartz movements
  • Disassemble, assess, repair, clean, oil, assemble, and polish watch components
  • Complete final testing and quality control including time accuracy, beat error, amplitude, power reserve, and water resistance
  • Update diagnostic and repair records in the claim management system and track spare parts consumption
  • Pick parts, support inventory control, and assist with replenishment of spare parts and materials
  • Communicate diagnoses, technical quotations, and repair lead times to coordinators and management
  • Report authenticity and quality issues and help maintain SOPs to improve workshop efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, organized workshop and ensure equipment is in good working order

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience repairing luxury timepieces, including mechanical movements and quartz
  • Formal watchmaking training or equivalent experience
  • High-level experience with automatic chronographs and mechanical movement servicing
  • Experience with 18K gold polishing and light polishing of watches
  • Computer literate with experience entering data for claims and repairs
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs
  • Available to work on-site five days per week (Monday–Friday)
