Summary
The Watch Repair Technician provides in-store technical expertise and after-sales service for luxury watches and jewelry. This role performs repairs, diagnostics, testing, and quality control while supporting boutique teams and delivering clear technical guidance to clients.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, clean, and test watches, including mechanical and quartz movements.
- Perform battery and maintenance services, polishing, and some light jewelry repairs.
- Coordinate with the Central Repair Workshop on repairs, parts orders, and database updates.
- Advise clients and boutique staff on technical matters and challenging after-sales cases.
- Manage repair tracking, spare parts, inventory, workshop organization, and quality control.
- Identify and report quality or authenticity concerns and help maintain repair workshop procedures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of luxury timepiece repair experience, from diagnostics through complete revision.
- Formal watchmaking training or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and attention to detail.
- Computer literacy for repair tracking and claims management.
- Familiarity with repair equipment and maintenance; fine jewelry repair and polishing equipment experience are an advantage.
- Ability to stand, lift up to 20 pounds, and work a flexible schedule that includes weekends.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in a retail store environment.
