Job Description

Summary

CHANEL is seeking a Watch Repair Technician to provide in-store technical expertise and elevate the aftersales experience at a boutique location. The role performs diagnostics, maintenance, and full watch revisions, collaborates with the Central Repair Workshop, and interacts directly with clients and boutique teams. This position is full-time and 100% on-site in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of watch repairs including battery service, maintenance of mechanical and quartz movements, disassembly, cleaning, oiling, assembly, and polishing.
  • Conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, testing and quality control including water resistance checks and final functional testing.
  • Collaborate with the Central Repair Workshop on complex repairs, spare parts ordering, and database updates; log and track repair progress.
  • Provide technical guidance to boutique staff, communicate repair status to clients, and support challenging aftersales cases and events.
  • Maintain an organized repair workshop, manage repair materials and inventory, and help develop SOPs to optimize processes.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in luxury watch repair and diagnostics with formal watchmaking training or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience repairing luxury timepieces from diagnostics to total revision.
  • Computer literacy for repair tracking and claims management.
  • Familiarity with polishing equipment and light 18K jewelry repairs preferred; willingness to learn on the job if needed.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, able to stand and lift up to 20 lbs, and available for a flexible retail schedule including weekends.
