Job Description

Summary

Experienced watchmaker responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and performing quality control on high-end mechanical and quartz timepieces to manufacturer specifications. Role includes dismantling, movement repair, casing, polishing, bracelet adjustments, and maintaining calibrated tools and a clean workshop. Expected to meet productivity targets while working collaboratively in a high-volume luxury repair environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and service timepieces according to brand guidelines
  • Perform dismantling and reassembly of movements and case components
  • Adjust movements for accuracy and test performance
  • Polish and refinish cases and bracelets to vendor specifications
  • Perform quality control checks and ensure waterproofness of cases
  • Identify spare parts needed and propose repair solutions
  • Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment and keep workshop organized
  • Meet minimum productivity target of two complete services per day
  • Handle day to day operations including diagnosis, repair, and maintenance

Requirements

  • One year of technical school training or 2-4 years professional experience
  • Experience with diagnosis of quartz and mechanical timepieces
  • 3 years experience working with high end luxury timepieces preferred
  • Watchmaker certification such as SAWTA WOSTEP or CW21 or similar
  • Ability to perform hairspring and escapement adjustments and oiling
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain seated for extended periods
  • Basic verbal and written English and basic computer knowledge
