Watchmaking Apprenticeship

Summary

A one-year paid apprenticeship providing comprehensive training in watch servicing and repair. The program combines theoretical classroom instruction with extensive hands-on work under the guidance of experienced watchmakers and technicians. Successful completion awards a certification and may lead to job opportunities within TAG Heuer or with industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Attend classroom sessions covering watch history, movements, tools, and industry standards.
• Receive practical, hands-on training using workshop equipment to dismantle, clean, repair, and reassemble watch components.
• Work on real servicing projects alongside senior watchmakers and receive on-the-job coaching and mentorship.
• Participate in assessments and skill-development exercises to build technical proficiency.
• Complete program requirements to obtain certification in watch servicing.

Requirements

• Open to candidates with no prior technical qualifications; recent high school graduates and career changers encouraged to apply.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, patience, and curiosity about mechanical watches.
• Availability to participate in a 30-minute Zoom interview and a full-day on-site skill-testing session (bench test) as part of the selection process.
• Commitment to the one-year apprenticeship and to learning both theoretical and practical aspects of watch servicing.
