Wine Specialist Assistant

Summary

The Wine Specialist Assistant supports guest-facing hospitality and back-of-house service at the Yountville restaurant by maintaining presentation standards, assisting culinary and service teams, and helping execute on-site and off-site events. This role ensures serviceware and hospitality areas are clean, well-stocked and code compliant while contributing to a positive team environment. The assistant anticipates needs and helps maintain the physical facility where food and beverages are served and stored.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pristine presentation of glassware, silverware, plateware and other serviceware
• Work closely with Culinary and Service teams to ensure tools and supplies are available
• Anticipate guests' needs and support internal and external guest experiences
• Keep pantry, common areas and dining areas presentable and well-stocked throughout the day
• Assist management in maintaining the integrity of the physical facility where food and beverages are served and stored
• Monitor hospitality areas to ensure cleanliness, safety and code compliance
• Assist with onsite and offsite events
• Participate in teamwork and foster a harmonious working climate

Requirements

• 1+ years previous experience as a Steward, Porter or Busser
• Energetic, accountable and team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Experience proactively maintaining cleanliness and operational efficiency
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to contribute ideas, take ownership and go beyond basic responsibilities
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
