Established in 2003, Nili Lotan New York is the eponymous label of designer Nili Lotan, whose fashion career began in 1980 following her relocation to the city. After honing her craft and reaching the position of head designer at renowned brands like Nautica and Ralph Lauren, Lotan launched her own line, quickly making her mark with her signature military-style jackets. Since then, the brand has expanded to produce a full range of women’s clothing for all seasons, available in over 150 stores worldwide. In 2006, Nili Lotan opened her first store in Tribeca New York, a unique space that combines her design studio with a retail space.

The brand’s timeless, easy-to-wear collections are favoured by a number of notable celebrities, including the likes of Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez, Rihanna, and Gwyneth Paltrow, to name just a few. The designs, often revolving around tailored suiting, silk dresses, and denim, are crafted in earth tones with rich pops of color, embodying a blend of luxury and everyday functionality. To this day, the brand maintains its dedication to creating clothing that provides the comfort and style of an everyday uniform, but with a luxurious twist.

Recently, in celebration of the brand’s 20th anniversary, Nili Lotan New York expanded its retail presence to the West Coast, opening a new store on the bustling Sycamore Avenue in Los Angeles. This move into the brand’s second-largest market after New York was a long-time vision come true for Lotan. The new boutique, designed in collaboration with Eleni Petaloti and Leonidas Trampoukis of Objects of Common Interest, offers a minimal, serene, and introspective shopping experience. Along with women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections, the store also carries handbags and small leather goods, further solidifying Nili Lotan New York’s reputation as a go-to source for timeless fashion staples.
