A day in the life…

Working at Nordstrom Rack is a team sport. As a District Store Support Manager, you’ll wear many hats – you’ll be a mentor, your team’s biggest fan, as well as a driver of business. In this role, you’ll set the example by …

  • Supporting multi-unit stores across Canada
  • Shaping the customer experience through engaged service and merchandise execution
  • Directing and influencing all aspects of both the service experience and inventory management teams
  • Being a “trendsetter” by identifying commonalties and trends in the business to help drive efficiencies and change when needed
  • Building a bench – continuously developing future leaders through coaching, leading by example and providing opportunities for new experiences
  • Educating employees on the importance of ensuring security and privacy of customer information
  • Developing and maintaining processes to further improve shrinkage results, unit variance and price accuracy
  • Teaming up with regional and store leaders on new store opening objectives, providing clear direction, and ensuring standards are met with timely delivery
  • Staying current on industry practices and issues by assessing and communicating the potential impact on the business

  • Have spent time in progressively larger manager assignments
  • Experienced time leading and facilitating in a training environment
  • Thrive in fast-paced environment thanks to your strong people, organizational and delegation skills as well as your follow-through and ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Know how to develop and maintain relationships with peers and leaders
  • Have strong strategic planning abilities and critical thinking skills
  • Have a knack for how to talk to people with your stellar verbal communication
  • Put pen to paper with solid written skills
  • Have proficiency in MS Office suite
