We are working with Teressa Foglia - one of the hottest young brands on the market - to place a new Sales Associate for their Malibu location. We are looking for candidates with several years selling experience who are looking for an opportunity to be a bigger part of a small/growing brands. Lots of growth and learning opportunities here.
Job Description

This is a unique Sales Associate opportunity to join a fast-growing luxury brand at the store level while being highly engaged with the founder and corporate functions. Many corporate functions are executed in-store, including product development, production management, digital marketing, and more. This is your chance to be an impactful part of this exciting brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Reach and surpass sales goals as determined by management.
  • Manage customer orders, including working in close partnership on product development and production. Liaise with manufacturing facilities, and follow-through to order fulfillment.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of all products in store.
  • Display versatility and responsibility for general store activities, thus ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Manage sales and optimize each step of the sales process ensuring all clients receive the highest degree of sophistication and enjoyable service possible and foster development of loyalty:
    • Welcome and know regular customers.
    • Know customers’ needs, both expressed and less obvious.
    • Demonstrate, recommend and style the products available.
    • Ensure customer loyalty by collecting customer information and entering it into the database, thus building an extremely valuable clientele base.
    • Follow-up with clients to ensure a strong client relationship
    • Guarantee post-sale service (including without limitation follow-up on orders taken) with the same spirit demonstrated during sale, following company standards in maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty in order to promote the company image.
    • Handle and rectify complaints, with support of a manager, if necessary.
    • Align with style and qualitative standards of the company throughout sales and post-sale process.
    • Participate in store meetings and all product presentations.
    • Take full advantage of all contacts with customers in the store and promote both the brand and product.
    • Ensure proper management of back stock in compliance with company policy.
    • Reorganize products on display and ensure they are displayed properly.
    • Participate in the inventory process.
    • Contribute to and create an overall positive atmosphere in the store.
    • Collaborate with other colleagues to achieve business objectives.
    • Communicate any pertinent information gathered from customers to management.
    • Constantly keep up-to-date regarding market trends; know and monitor competition.
    • Regular attendance and punctuality.
    • Ability to professionally interact with management, coworkers and clients.
    • Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking and prioritizing capabilities.
    • Flexibility in schedule and working hours.
    • Strong customer service skills to provide courteous and precise customer satisfaction.

Teressa Foglia is a modern milliner with a serious case of wanderlust. An avid hat lover her entire life, Teressa took a hat-making course for fun while she was in Europe in the summer of 2016, and it led her to switch careers entirely. After strangers started asking to purchase hats right off her head, she knew she had something special. She designed her first collection in New York City in 2017 while simultaneously setting up shop in Industry City, opening the first Teressa Foglia creative studio in December 2017. Now, we are creating Big Hat Magic in our five experiential retail locations across California, New York, Nashville, and Texas.
