Job Description

Role Overview

Oversee the daily service & production operations of a team of jewelers, polishers and setters in a fast-paced, high volume workshop. Promote positivity, teamwork, accountability and individual development.

Responsibilities

  • Assess workload versus capacity factoring lead-time objectives and production delivery planning to allocate work-in-progress appropriately to meet targets; Benchwork as needed
  • Accompany team in their daily tasks to answer questions, provide mentorship and to ensure quality standards are upheld
  • Monitor performance and productivity; Identify gaps in efficiency and skillset and recommend relevant training or improvement and/or development plans accordingly
  • Manage the onboarding of new team members, ensuring sufficient support and appropriate progress and evolution over time
  • Supervise the maintenance and replacement of tools and equipment as needed
  • Ensure the adherence to all Richemont policies, procedures and audit recommendations, by all team members

Qualifications

  • A high level of emotional intelligence
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Formal training as a jeweler
  • Experience polishing and/or setting preferred
  • Experience mentoring or training a technical team
  • Minimum seven years’ working as a bench jeweler
  • Minimum three years’ experience managing a team
  • Minimum five years’ working in a jewelry workshop
  • Ability to manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
  • Great verbal and inter-personal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical reasoning skills
  • Abiltiy to speak French is a major plus
