Accounts Payable Representative

Summary

The Accounts Payable Representative processes invoices accurately and within agreed-upon terms while maintaining thorough documentation. This role also supports accounting operations, month-end closing, and accounts payable audits.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, verify, and enter invoices for timely payment.
• Research invoice and documentation issues and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal clients.
• Respond to accounts payable inquiries and build strong relationships with business partners.
• Assist with month-end closing and accounts payable audits.
• Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Provide coverage for accounts payable staff and complete special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree and knowledge of general accounting principles preferred.
