Responsible for altering and tailoring garments to high quality standards while delivering exceptional client service in a retail luxury environment. Works closely with sales staff during fittings, maintains accurate records in alterations trackers, and adheres to workroom health and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Alter and tailor garments to Ralph Lauren quality and accuracy standards
- Mark garments accurately following company practice
- Build rapport with clients and identify alteration needs to deliver excellent service
- Partner with sales professionals during fittings to ensure client satisfaction
- Contribute to team productivity and promote teamwork
- Meet personal productivity objectives consistently
- Handle and maintain garments with care and respect
- Enter information accurately into alterations tracker and workflow systems
- Communicate product and customer feedback to managers
Requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team oriented environment
- Experience mentoring or training others in a technical capacity preferred
- Experience in luxury tailoring preferred
- Ability to maneuver around sales floor and work areas and lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to operate tailoring machinery and stand or sit for multiple hours
