SummaryAs the Analyst, Global Trade and Logistics, you will play a key role in supporting, analyzing, and optimizing the movement of goods across international borders, specializing in finished goods, parts/components, and related commodities. You will coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure compliance with trade regulations, timely delivery, and cost-effective movement of goods. Additionally, you will analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, as well as conduct audits of entry data and documentation for compliance excellence.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain standard industry benchmarking metrics to analyze supply chain health and logistics partner performance.
- Analyze shipment and brokerage data to improve lead time and leverage trade policies to minimize costs.
- Provide guidance for item classification, claims, service failures, and special requests.
- Partner with internal teams and suppliers to educate on compliance topics and operational efficiencies.
- Generate and maintain standard operating procedures for efficient and compliant work processes.
- Establish clearance procedures and document retention with customs brokers.
- Create and maintain a database for item classification and government agency requirements.
- Execute audits of customs entries and documentation to ensure compliance.
- Assess risks related to international trade activities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Identify efficiency opportunities and provide data-driven support for process innovation.
Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of practical experience in trade compliance or logistics function.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance risks.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Positive attitude and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and certification in trade compliance is a plus.
- Familiarity with customs/import requirements for major markets in the Americas.
- Business language proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred.
