Area Manager - Asset Protection

The Area Manager of Asset Protection is responsible for supervising Asset Protection leaders and teams across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores within their district. This role involves recruiting, development, performance oversight, and budgeting, as well as co-developing and executing the company's shrink reduction strategy. The position is field-based, requiring travel, and focuses on ensuring the safety and security of employees, theft prevention, and enhancing company profitability.

• Lead and articulate the vision and values of the organization within the assigned area.
• Develop partnerships with cross-functional teams, including District leadership and Store Management.
• Evaluate shrink data to identify trends in theft and drive results.
• Implement company shrink programs and manage compliance.
• Manage programs to protect company assets from theft and fraud.
• Conduct investigations and manage district internal investigations.
• Address security incidents and maintain a safe work environment.
• Recruit, hire, and train Asset Protection teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5-8+ years’ experience in asset protection or related fields.
• 5 years’ experience in managing people leaders.
• WZ certification required, CFI certification preferred.
• Strong time management and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Professional Suite and exception-based reporting.
• Ability to travel up to 25%-50%.
