Summary
Area Managers lead Restaurant General Managers and Specialty Coffee Bar Managers across an assigned geography to deliver business results, uphold company values, and develop talent. They partner with HR and cross-functional teams to maintain food safety, drive financial performance, and create inclusive customer and employee experiences while operating from an assigned home store.
Responsibilities
- Lead restaurants and specialty coffee bars in assigned geography and act as primary leader for the portfolio
- Coach and develop management teams and create an internal pipeline of leadership talent
- Provide timely performance conversations and accountability for general managers and coffee bar managers
- Analyze KPIs and P&L to create action plans to meet or exceed financial goals
- Partner with HR on employee relations, investigations, and resolutions
- Ensure locations maintain food-safe and pest-free environments
- Build and maintain effective relationships with store and regional business partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including culinary and specialty coffee to execute strategy
- Plan travel and time effectively with 3-4 days weekly of on-site visits
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in multiple food and beverage operations as a culinary or management leader
- Proven leadership and coaching skills with progressive multi-unit management responsibility
- Experience handling employee relations and working with HR on investigations
- Ability to analyze financial outcomes and KPIs and build effective action plans
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to model company values and make sound judgments
