Summary
The Area Retail Director will lead the sales and business strategy for the Northwest region, managing and coaching a team of Store Directors to drive sales, client experience and long-term growth. Reporting to the Vice President of Retail, the role partners with corporate teams on merchandising, training, talent development and budget planning while representing the brand at events and meetings. The position requires significant travel across the region, up to 75% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and coach Store Directors and store leadership to deliver performance and an exceptional client experience.
- Ensure clear communication between store teams and corporate partners to align on operational standards and opportunities.
- Partner with the VP of Retail and HRBP on business operations, people strategies and regional sales targets.
- Manage performance processes and KPIs, monitoring CRM, client experience and sales metrics for each boutique.
- Create and implement boutique-level business plans focused on strategic and financial objectives.
- Develop targeted plans for High Jewelry business in collaboration with merchandising and high jewelry teams.
- Support talent acquisition, identify HNW prospects and develop succession and talent development plans.
- Oversee operational execution, loss prevention practices, expense control and allocation of gifting and client entertainment resources.
- Partner on new product launches, events and market activities to increase visibility and net sales; travel regularly throughout the region.
Requirements
- Multi-store and/or high-volume luxury retail experience required; high-end jewelry experience preferred.
- Proven people and performance management skills with experience coaching senior store leaders.
- Strong commercial acumen and involvement in budget planning and sales forecasting.
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time; ideally based in Las Vegas or San Francisco areas.
