Summary
Support loss prevention safety and security initiatives at a fulfillment center by protecting property, merchandise, equipment and employees. Conduct screening, monitoring and investigations to identify and resolve potential loss situations while partnering with managers and law enforcement as needed. Work overnight shifts to maintain a secure work environment and ensure compliance with site procedures.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with building personnel and respond to incidents related to loss prevention safety and security
- Monitor identification badges and control entry and exit for employees visitors vendors and contractors
- Conduct electronic and visual screening using walk-through and hand-held metal detectors and inspect carry-in items
- Perform daily interior and exterior facility walks auditing doors windows fences lighting and physical security systems
- Review camera footage and respond to alarms taking appropriate action
- Initiate and conduct investigations of shrinkage and follow through with resolutions with investigators or managers
- Maintain site-required documentation including incident accident and inspection reports
- Support opening and closing procedures and perform special projects as directed by Asset Protection Manager
- Escalate sensitive situations and collaborate with loss prevention staff and local law enforcement as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma GED or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in a customer facing service position ideally in loss prevention security or risk management
- Supply chain facility experience preferred
- Excellent communication interpersonal and investigative skills
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively to safety and security issues
- Proven accountability initiative and ownership in prior roles
- Ability to work overnight shifts weekends and maintain confidentiality in security matters
