Summary
Responsible for protecting customers, employees, merchandise, and physical spaces through theft prevention, investigations, and emergency response. Partners with store teams and external partners to maintain safety and reduce shrinkage while documenting incidents and supporting legal processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct apprehensions and resolve theft incidents in accordance with policy and leadership guidance
- Monitor video and surveillance systems to identify and investigate theft activity
- Leverage reporting tools and RFID data to identify trends and support investigations
- Prepare and submit detailed reports for incidents, recoveries, and investigations
- Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in emergency and first aid training
- Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness efforts and training within the store
- Collaborate with store leadership, neighboring retailers, and local law enforcement
- Testify in court when summoned for criminal or civil cases
- Respond to and report safety incidents and medical emergencies to maintain store safety
Requirements
- Ability to make accountable decisions and use good judgment in a fast paced environment
- Clear verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain calm when handling aggressive behavior
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Meet state and local licensing requirements as applicable
- Experience in investigative, asset protection, or security procedures preferred
- Ability to prepare thorough reports and testify when required
