Summary
Responsible for supporting loss prevention, safety and security initiatives at a supply chain distribution center to protect property, assets and employees. The role involves monitoring site access, conducting security screenings and searches, investigating potential losses and supporting incident response and documentation. Work includes daily facility patrols, camera review and collaboration with asset protection leadership and local authorities as needed. Shifts may include weekends and overnight hours.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with building personnel and respond to incidents related to loss prevention safety and security
- Monitor identification badges and control entry and exit of employees visitors vendors and contractors
- Conduct electronic and physical screenings including metal detector scans and visual bag searches
- Perform daily interior and exterior facility walks checking doors windows gates fences and lighting
- Review camera footage for investigative or research purposes
- Respond to building alarms and complete initial incident and accident documentation
- Initiate and conduct investigations of shrinkage and loss and partner with investigators and managers on resolution
- Maintain site required documentation such as accident reports inspection reports and training logs
- Audit physical security infrastructure and report or implement corrective actions
Requirements
- High school diploma GED or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in a customer facing service position ideally in loss prevention security or risk management
- Supply chain facility experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact at various levels
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively to safety and security issues
- Proven accountability initiative and ownership in prior roles
- Ability to work weekends and overnight shifts as necessary
- Maintain confidentiality in security and personnel matters
